The Giorlando Farm has its origin in Grammichele, in the province of Catania, city ​​with a characteristic hexagonal plan, unique in Italy and extends partly in the Catania Plain, affecting the countryside of Mineo and Palagonia, and partly on the Plateau of the Monti Iblei, affecting the countryside of Caltagirone and Licodia Eubea.
The Giorlando family has been cultivating, since 1950, more than 60 hectares of land including citrus groves, arable land and olive groves, first led by his grandfather Giuseppe and, currently, by his father Giacomo and his children Katia and Giuseppe Alessandro.
The father Giacomo and the son Giuseppe Alessandro deal with the agronomic aspect with great competence and professionalism and manage the agricultural activity with respect for the environment and the quality guaranteed throughout the supply chain, according to the principles of organic agriculture. Katia, on the other hand, deals with the processes that involve the entire supply chain of transformation of the company's raw material, marketing and marketing.
We strive daily to ensure that all processes involving our supply chain are characterized by quality and professionalism, in order to guarantee maximum transparency and traceability of all our products.
We entrust the processing of our raw material only to the best processors in the area, who, using traditional transformation methods, manage to create a product of the highest nutritional quality.
For this reason, all our products are made exclusively with the best raw materials we produce.
Our goal is to safeguard the health of the final consumer, who must be aware of what he brings to the table on a daily basis. Since 2015, in fact, the Company has been subject to the organic farming regulations set out in the PSR Sicily 2014/2020.
Since 2018 we have started a process of transformation of all the cultivations of Ancient Sicilian Wheat grown by us.
The choice of packaging is meant to be a tribute to Sicilian culture and tradition.
Each package is characterized by the presence of the "Sicilian Tombolo", an ancient lace made by hand by the skilled hands of Sicilian women and which still today characterizes the culture and tradition of many Sicilian places, for more than a century.
